Ms. Donels is an associate attorney with the firm. Before joining, she spent two years clerking for the Honorable Leonard Strand in the Northern District of Iowa. During law school, Ms. Donels worked for various firms and the law school’s free legal clinic doing criminal and immigration defense, personal injury and civil rights work. Ms. Donels also competed nationally on Iowa’s Trial Advocacy and Moot Court teams, and served on the Moot Court Board. Ms. Donels’ broad background allows her to assist a wide variety of clients in all kinds of cases.

Ms. Donels grew up in the Cedar Rapids area, before going to Loras College, Dubuque to earn a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish. While at Loras, Ms. Donels captained the mock trial and qualified for the national moot court competition. She also volunteered as an intake receptionist at Iowa Legal Aid and taught ESL classes with the Presentation Lantern Center. Ms. Donels now lives in Urbandale with her partner, Logan, and their dog, Parmesan.
